What are dental probiotics?

Probiotics help promote the growth of good bacteria and halts the growth of bad germs in the mouth. Though probiotics are mostly known for their impact on digestive health, research also suggests that they can benefit your oral health.

Lactobacillus reuteri (L. reuteri) has co-evolved with humans since the beginning of time and has adapted to its host. L. reuteri is among the first bacterial species to naturally become established in newborns. To date, 202 clinical studies with BioGaia’s L. reuteri-strains have been performed in more than 17, 200 people of all ages with positive results.

These help to maintain a balanced oral microbiome, which can prevent cavities, keep gum disease at bay and help your breath stay minty fresh!
